New at OnTrack: OnLine Training!
We have added a new training offering; OnTrack Self-training Online, a detailed
self training program accessible via the Internet. This training module walks users
step by step through our intuitive, logical work flow. Users can open the training
module and OnTrack PM simultaneously using two screens, and toggle between course
instructions and their own application. Online training is a best practice, cutting
costs for our clients and providing them with instant training for new hires and
refreshers for more seasoned users that can be accessed as and when needed.
Microsoft Project / Primavera Planning Interface
Based on demand from our users and with their input and help, OnTrack Project
Manager now has a robust planning interface which transfers data in both directions
between OnTrack Project Manager and planning tools including Microsoft Project 2007
and Primavera. Every interface brings us a step closer to the premium value offered
by end to end, interoperable solutions.
OnTrack Project Manager User Group held April 2007
OnTrack held its eighth annual User group in April. Power users,
from all over North America participated in the yearly day-long focus group and
brainstorming sessions. This was not the typical software user group but rather
was a true collaboration to improve the solution based on the experiences and suggestions
of our vocal power user base. Many good ideas came to the fore as we discussed topics
from software enhancements to services to the request for increased marketing efforts
-- including this newsletter!
Tim Cayzer, head of OnTrack product development, led the first group session, going
over the list of new features and enhancements that this group voted on last year,
and doing a live demonstration showing how they function today. New features included
the Material Control module for mega projects, enhancements to currency, the inventory
system and quick payment options as well as integration with Microsoft’s Project
Web Access and SharePoint.
OnTrack President Mike Milinusic then led a brainstorming session to elicit suggestions
from users as to the next major upgrade, due in 2008. Further integration was key;
users are driving us towards an end to end “plug and play” integrated project management
solution.
We received kudos for our new online training module, our great tech support and
the work we do as system administrator for the clients who use our hosting services.
This team, with the help and input of clients, has accomplished an impressive amount
over the last year.

OnTrack in step with FIATECH
(Fully Integrated Automated Technology)
OnTrack Engineering joined colleagues and co competitors in Washington DC in April,
at FIATECH’s annual Technology Conference and Showcase. FIATECH’s technology showcase
highlights the industry’s leading technology providers who are working together
to establish a universal platform for improving interoperability in capital projects.
FIATECH is an industry action group whose members are global leaders in identifying
and accelerating the development, demonstration and deployment of fully integrated
and automated technologies to deliver the highest business value throughout the
life cycle of all types of capital projects. To support this mission, FIATECH has
developed a “Roadmap for Capital Projects” to ensure the right technologies are
developed and aligned.
OnTrack Project Manager addresses multiple areas of the FIATECH roadmap including
integrated automated procurement and supply networks, and real time automated project
controls. As members of FIATECH we collaborate on several committees, with our peers
from technology development, owner/operators, EPC firms and Universities and Research
Institutions.

year the conference will be held in Nashville Tennessee , July 15- 18. Like FIATECH,
AACE is a group that serves the project community, providing the Total Cost Management
(TCM) body of knowledge, with standards and recommended practices, specifically
