Collaboration between Owner and EPCM firms is driven today by two forces: One: a
need for greater efficiencies which itself is driven by the increase in number and
cost of capital projects, the manpower shortage, and the lack of standard processes,
and Two: a demonstrable Return on Investment when such collaboration takes place.
Cost overruns can be drastically reduced when proper processes and tools are in
place; a further benefit of the use of these PM collaboration tools is that they
facilitate standardization, which according to Independent Project Analysis research
can drop overruns by another 10% across all capital projects. Today for the first
time in decades there is a balance between innovation and proven, reliable technologies
that can help us address the crisis in capital project quality. Putting the right
